One logon is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we need specific adapters? Why don't you just create a generic Single Sign-On plugin that can be configured for the structure of an application's logon form, and that just puts the credentials into that form ?

Well, we thought about that option, but for now decided not to implement it in that way.

The fundamental point is that you would need to KNOW the user's TYPO3 password. With upcoming technologies like LDAP (or Auth Services) integration, FE user password encryption and even FE user challenge/response, we don't have that password.

In addition, this way would require password sync between TYPO3 and all the integrated applications - extra work.
