Subject: basic install flow questions
Hi to you all - and many many thanks.

I have read the install docs - but I actually gor a bit confused. So I am gonna go for a simple 1-2-3 install guide. I am using SSL.

1. I have installed the server. I am going for typo3 login and phpbb and oscommerce.

2. typo3 login is in the root like: www.mysite.com/login.html
oscommerce is at www.mysite.com/catalog/
phpbb is at www.mysite.com/directory/forum/

3. Where do I put which file for each of these ? The sso agent for oscommerce, phpbb and typo3 ? And where do I put the sso tpa-adapter ?

Might seem stupid - but maybe others besides me wonder the same thing ... so - answer if you like - as short as you like. I love you either way.

Subject: re: basic install flow questions
setting up the Single Sign-On framework is done in 3 basic steps:

1. install the TYPO3 extension (SSO server)
You've already done this :-)

2. install the SSO agent:
The SSO agent needs to be installed once on each server where you want to access a TPA (Meaning: If OsCommerce and phpBB are served from different machines, you need a copy of the agent on each webserver. If they are served from the same machine you only need to install the agent once on that webserver).

The agent consist of the executable (sigsso.php by default) and a config file (sigsso.conf). The executable needs to be put somewhere below the webroot of the server, the config file sits best outside the webroot (/usr/local/sigsso/etc/sigsso.conf by default). In your case, you need one copy of the agent accessible somewhere on www.mysite.com . Don't forget to edit the sigsso.php and adjust the path to the config file if neccessary!

3. Install the TPA adapter:
The TPA adapter needs to be copied / unpacked to the root directory of the TPA. Note that the OsCommerce adapter needs to be edited to be configured. The TPA then must be added to the SSO agent's config file (refer to the supplied sample config file for reference).

Hope this helps,
Nils
